When the news dropped that Nintendo would be releasing both Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem for all mobile platforms, I was truly excited. I’ve loved Animal Crossing since its release in 2001 (which, to be honest, I might have played hooky from school to play). I was instantly hooked by all the cute animals and collection of fossils. I’d wake up, flip on the GameCube, and hunt around for all the X’s in the ground for me to dig up. I’d try to get all my friends to play, to which they’d reply “Oh, is that like Harvest Moon?”. They didn’t get it.
