Fox dropped a trailer I don’t think any of us were expecting. While typically I avoid new Fox shows like the plague due to their track record of getting canceled when they didn’t deserve to be, I can honestly say I am excited for this as a fan of the series. Very rarely do you ever see a series that completely wrapped up reopen for us to see more, especially by Fox. Prison Break is one of those few shows I feel deserves more and I’m happy for it to reopen.
After the release of the direct-to-disc movie Prison Break: Final Break, it seemed like the series was finally done and nothing was really left unexplained. Now it seems like Michael Scofield will be returning to us once more. From the long trailer released, it seems this time he’s the one that needs rescued.
Fox then released a new trailer yesterday with some interviews that you really need to check out:

This just leaves some questions very wide open. We now know he’s in Yemen, but what did he do and how did he get caught? Will Linc be the mastermind behind this one (“We’re here to get you out”) or will Michael once again devise the most brilliant of schemes where everything possible is working against him? Since the absence of Michael from her life, has Sara moved on in her life to date her ex-husband’s best friend just as actress Sarah Wayne Callies portrayed from the hit show The Walking Dead? I’m a big fan of trying to combine shows into the same universe even if they don’t belong, so I’d love to see Andrew Lincoln be the other man with a hoard of zombies following him. Just saying, I’m pretty sure Daniel Radcliffe had Petrificus Totalus casted on him for his role in Swiss Army Man. Sorry, I got off track here. Yeah I’ll be watching Prison Break once again and even though it’ll be a mini-series, I’m not convinced it won’t be canceled after two episodes and this is just some sick way for Fox to laugh at us fans.
We’ll have to watch to find out. Tune in to Fox to watch the nine episodes next year. Yuck, did I just say tune in to Fox?
On a more serious note, I’m very glad Wentworth Miller is acting once again. If you didn’t know, he had a very serious illness present in 2010 which caused him to almost retire from acting. We’re glad he’s no longer suicidal and we welcome him back to Prison Break!
