Noobenheim News for Nerds It looks like Kratos is now Scandinavian in this reboot of God of War. Deviating from the usual Greek mythology, this new God of War will be based on Norse mythology.
From the trailer, we see Kratos now has a beard and is raising a son, Charlie. What is much less obvious and definitely speculative is the added RPG element shown in the trailer seems to be aimed at tasks Charlie is performing. Does this mean Charlie will be the main playable character? Or are we going to be playing the game with Kratos like the previous games in the series? We do know that Kratos keeps his Spartan past by taking down a troll using his “Spartan Rage”. I think it would be a great storyline to pass the reins from Kratos to Charlie by maybe having Kratos be captured or killed (by Tyr?) and Charlie seeking revenge. We’ll have to wait to find out.
I keep getting more and more amazed by the quality of graphics in games as of late. The amazing seamless transition between cutscene and gameplay always impresses.
God of War is a Playstation 4 exclusive title. No release date has yet been set.
